This plant is a herbaceous perennial. Herbaceous perennials die back below ground level each autumn, then fresh new growth will appear in the spring. Protect young plants from a snug/snail attack. Cut down to the ground in late winter. Cut the stems down by half after flowering to help prevent mildew.
